  • Revise cost estimates to reflect scope changes or new information.
  • Gather and assess all necessary cost inputs, including labor, materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Provide accurate cost projections based on project technical requirements.
  • Identify and quantify potential cost risks and ensure they are reflected in the bid.
  • Partner with project teams to support change orders and modifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor Estimator I and II team members.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
  • 7–10+ years of multi-trade construction estimating experience, including projects valued at $5M or more.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience using Accubid or similar estimating software.
  • College diploma, bachelor’s degree, trade certification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Effective organizational, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Experience working in unionized and multi-trade environments.
Preferred:
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
  • Estimating experience on projects valued over $25M.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and use of computer systems.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs).
  • Visual acuity required for reading plans and documents.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
  • Indoor work environment with 5–40% travel to job sites and client meetings.
