Fuze HR is currently hiring a DZ Driver for a reputable organization in the food distribution sector. This is a great opportunity for a dependable driver who wants steady hours, local routes, and the chance to make a positive community impact.
Schedule & Routes:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Routes: Dock-to-dock deliveries across the GTA and Kitchener (no more than ~90 minutes from site)
- Volume: 4–6 pickups per day (low volume). Some downtime may occur while waiting at pickup locations — drivers are encouraged to bring a book or something to pass the time.
- Staffing: One driver per truck, with support from onsite forklift operators.
Equipment & Cargo:
- 22–26 ft straight refrigerated trucks, each equipped with a GO Tag for area tracking
- Food products on skids (pump truck available in vehicle)
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate DZ vehicles in compliance with traffic and safety regulations.
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Manage routes and scheduled pickup windows using provided route sheets.
- Load/unload skids as required, ensuring proper handling of food products.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and represent the company professionally.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario DZ driver’s license with a clean abstract (background check and driving test required).
- 2+ years of DZ driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
- Familiarity with GTA/Kitchener routes is an asset.
