We are seeking a motivated Die Assistant to join a well-established packaging manufacturer in Etobicoke. This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical mindset, strong computer skills, and experience in corrugated, packaging, or manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Die Coordinator in preparing print plates and steel rule dies (SRD)

Review factory tickets, print specs, and design drawings to ensure production readiness

Organize, maintain, and quality-check tooling components

Coordinate tooling readiness with production and scheduling teams

Deliver tooling to press areas according to machine schedules

Assist with minor repairs or adjustments on the production floor

Support CAD cutting table and Digital Press operations when needed

Maintain tooling inventory and ensure proper storage

Ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience in corrugated, printing, or manufacturing industries preferred
-
Familiarity with CAD tables, plate mounting, or prepress operations is an asset
-
Knowledge of AutoCAD or Adobe Illustrator considered a plus

Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel)

Ability to read production documents, print specifications, and factory tickets

Basic math skills and tape measure proficiency

Comfortable using hand tools

Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
