Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation for zero/limited-downtime deployments and routine maintenance.
- Operate production environments: manage configuration/credentials, plan maintenance, and handle DB upgrades/migrations, backups, and recovery.
- Provide delivery enablement: reference templates/patterns for CI/CD, infra as code, and ephemeral dev/test environments.
- Build observability: monitoring/telemetry tooling and dashboards to improve reliability and incident response.
- Support early & frequent testing/delivery: integration/security/performance/load testing; support alpha/beta releases.
- Facilitate agile cadence with product teams; maximize transparency and resolve delivery blockers.
Must-Have Requirements
- 3+ years documenting issues, solutions, and procedures.
- 3+ years using access tools (SSH clients, Remote Desktop) and administering Linux/Windows services.
- 3+ years applying basic security practices (secrets management, least privilege, credential hygiene).
- Hands-on CI/CD (e.g., GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps), scripting (Bash/Python/PowerShell), and infra automation (e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Experience operating cloud-hosted services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and managing database changes/backups/recovery.
- Proven collaboration within agile, cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Kubernetes/OpenShift, containers, artifact registries.
- Observability stacks (e.g., CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK/APM).
- Performance and load testing enablement.
- Public sector or large enterprise modernization experience.
- Agile coaching/mentoring across multiple squads.
Contract & Hours
