Job description
The Controls Designer will design electrical prints and automation systems for manufacturing machinery. They will work closely with mechanical designers and shop floor employees to ensure electrical drawings follow required codes and are released on time. Responsibilities include designing electrical and pneumatic prints, supporting automation and drive projects, and ensuring systems integrate with safety and IT interfaces on production equipment.
Requirements
  • 5+ years hands-on Controls Design experience (Senior level)
  • 3–5 years hands-on experience using AutoCAD Electrical is a MUST
  • Ability to design electrical and pneumatic prints
  • Strong practical experience — candidate must be able to plug in and play with minimal training
  • Technical diploma or degree in related field preferred
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens and Schneider highly preferred
