We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer (Mastercam) to join a growing precision manufacturing team. This role focuses on program development, machining optimization, and production support within a structured automotive machining environment.
This is not a machine operator role — the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving CNC programs, supporting new product launches, and driving measurable improvements in machining efficiency.
What You'll Do
CNC Programming & Process Development

Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for 2-axis through multi-axis machining

Generate programs directly from 3D CAD models

Optimize tool paths to improve cycle time, tool life, and process stability

Establish tooling strategies, cutting parameters

Create setup sheets, tool lists, and technical documentation
Production & Launch Support

Support first-piece prove-outs and program validation on the shop floor

Provide technical support to setup technicians and machine operators

Troubleshoot machining issues related to quality, tool life, and cycle time

Implement tooling and program improvements to resolve production issues
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency and reduce cycle time

Target 10–25% cycle time improvements on applicable parts

Support Lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives

Standardize machining processes across similar part families
Engineering & Cross-Functional Support

Participate in APQP and launch reviews
-
Support fixture/workholding strategy and manufacturability reviews

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams

Maintain accurate program revision control and documentation
What We're Looking For
Experience
-
5+ years CNC programming experience in a production machining environment
-
Strong experience with Mastercam (required)
-
Experience programming Fanuc-based CNC machines
-
Experience with equipment such as Haas, Mazak, Toyoda, or Mori Seiki
-
Experience supporting new product launches and shop-floor prove-outs
Technical Skills
-
Mastercam programming
-
CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)

Strong understanding of cutting tools and inserts

Ability to read and interpret GD&T and technical drawings
-
Manual G-code programming considered an asset
Education
-
Diploma or certificate in CNC Programming, Machining, or Mechanical Technology
