CNC Programmer – Vertical & Horizontal 5-Axis Mills
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will program parts and tooling from customer-supplied models/drawings as well as internally designed components. You will create, revise, and optimize CNC programs for vertical and horizontal machining centers while supporting both production and prototype work.
Quality, safety, and efficiency are critical, and success will be measured by programming accuracy, turnaround time, and overall production performance.
Salary: $75K-$100K Yearly
Key Responsibilities CNC Programmer – Vertical & Horizontal 5-Axis Mills

Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams

Develop and modify CNC programs using Virtual Gibbs

Interpret CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for programming

Create process sheets, Bills of Materials, setup sheets, and tool lists

Verify programs through simulation and testing

Analyze job orders and perform machining calculations

Improve cycle times and optimize tooling efficiency

Design fixturing strategies to support multi-part or high-efficiency runs
What You Bring CNC Programmer – Vertical & Horizontal 5-Axis Mills

Strong understanding of machining processes from raw material to finished product

Experience with fixture design and tooling strategies

Strong mechanical aptitude and numerical reasoning skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, charts, and tables

3–5 years of CNC programming experience

Proficiency in SolidWorks and Virtual Gibbs
Asset Experience

Fusion 360 knowledge
-
Hands-on machining experience (setup or operator background)
