The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Mill Programmer & Setter to join a precision machining environment supporting high-end industries including aerospace, medical, defense, and advanced manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of programming, setup, and production on complex parts. If you enjoy working on tight tolerances, solving machining challenges, and being part of a high-quality, detail-driven shop—this is a strong long-term opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Program and set up CNC milling machines (3, 4 & 5-axis)
- Work with horizontal machining centers
- Create and optimize programs using Mastercam
- Perform G & M code programming and editing as needed
- Design and build fixturing to support production
- Interpret technical drawings and GD&T requirements
- Run first-offs and support production runs
- Perform in-process inspection and quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What You Bring
- 5+ years of CNC mill programming and setup experience in a precision machining environment
- Strong experience with 3–4 axis machining (5-axis is a strong asset)
- Proficiency with Mastercam (SolidWorks experience is an asset)
- Strong understanding of G & M code
- Ability to read complex drawings and work with tight tolerances
- Experience with Haas and/or Fanuc controls
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace, medical, defense, or similar high-precision industries
- Machinist certification
- Experience designing fixturing and improving machining processes
Additional Requirements
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for industry clearances)
