Position Overview
Fuze HR is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our client’s team in British Columbia. The successful candidate will manage the entire BC territory, oversee an existing book of business, and work closely with a senior technician to provide both sales and technical support.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow an existing book of business across BC.

Serve as the primary sales representative for the region, building relationships with manufacturing and industrial clients.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot welding applications alongside the senior technician.

Plan and execute provincial travel efficiently to service clients.

Independently manage territory activities, including client visits, sales forecasting, and reporting.
Must-Have Qualifications
-
Strong welding background (hands-on experience or deep technical knowledge).

Industrial/B2B sales experience; comfortable selling to manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial clients.

Proven experience managing large geographic territories independently.

Ability to take over and manage an existing book of business.

Excellent communication skills; able to present technical solutions clearly.

Comfortable working autonomously with limited on-site technical support.
Strongly Preferred

Experience selling welding equipment or similar industrial machinery.

Familiarity with major welding brands.

Knowledge of the BC manufacturing sector.

Experience working alongside a field technician.

Bilingual (asset depending on region).
Compensation & Benefits
-
Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 (flexible for highly experienced candidates)

Commission: Historically 20–30% (final structure to be confirmed)

Vacation: 4 weeks, negotiable for strong candidates

Role Reality / Candidate Must Understand

Single sales rep for entire BC territory; autonomous role.

Only one technical support resource in the region.

Heavy travel across the province.

Not a management role despite “Manager” title.
