Our team is looking for an experienced 4th Class Power Engineer for our client located in Abbotsford, BC.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Power Engineer incumbent is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment and systems in the plant and for performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary. This position is responsible for boiler operation of a high-pressure boiler, for monitoring and maintaining all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant and for performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary.
Schedule: 4x10s schedule; either Sun-Weds or Weds-Sat, 10:00pm – 8:30am

Main duties of the 4th Class Power Engineer:
- Accountable for preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per the work order requests, equipment stoppages or breakdowns.
- Accountable to adhere to and utilize company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
- Ensuring a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
- Work in a safe, responsive manner, respecting workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.

Requirements of the 4TH Class Power Engineer:
- 4th Class Power Engineering (willing to train if the successful candidate does not have experience).
- Grade 12 Diploma or High School equivalent.
- Maintenance Experience
- Ability to work Rotational shifts.
- Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools.
- Inhouse opportunity to receive further training towards a Millwright Journeyman Certificate
- Basic computer knowledge and math skills
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
