About the Opportunity: 310T Mechanic / Fleet Mechanic
A well-established employer in the infrastructure / utility services sector is looking for a 310T Mechanic / Fleet Mechanic to join their maintenance team.
This is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys working on heavy-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and equipment in a hands-on shop environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong diagnostic ability, a safety-first mindset, and experience maintaining commercial vehicles and related systems.
What You’ll Be Doing: 310T Mechanic / Fleet Mechanic
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
- Review repair priorities and complete assigned work orders
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Assist with identifying and resolving equipment issues efficiently
- Perform road tests or vehicle movement as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and shop procedures
What We’re Looking For: 310T Mechanic / Fleet Mechanic
- 310T Truck and Coach Technician Licence preferred
OR registered apprentice with relevant hands-on experience & minimum 3 years of experience working on:- Heavy-duty trucks
- Commercial fleet vehicles
- Heavy equipment
- Related diesel-powered equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with hydraulic and/or electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Must be able to provide a driver abstract
- Must have own tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with diesel engines
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience servicing trailers or specialized equipment
- Exposure to utility, construction, or contractor fleet environments
