About the Role
An established food manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead their QA team and ensure consistent food safety and product quality. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to make a real impact from day one.
Reporting to the Senior QA Manager, you’ll oversee a small team of QA Technicians and manage daily QA operations, audits, inspections, and compliance programs. Your expertise will support continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do

Lead, mentor, and supervise 2-3 QA Technicians.

Oversee daily QA operations, including inspections, audits, and microbial testing.

Manage HACCP, BRC, CFIA, and customer compliance programs.

Conduct internal audits and support certification programs (Organic, Halal, Kosher, Gluten-Free).

Investigate customer complaints and ensure timely corrective actions.

Deliver food safety and quality training to staff.

Maintain product specifications and QA records using SAP, MenuSano, and related systems.

Support recalls, crisis management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who You Are

Canadian education and experience in food production/manufacturing is critical.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar QA role within the food industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Safety, or related field.

Certifications in Quality Assurance, GFSI, and Internal Auditing.

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities.

Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (CFIA, GFSI, USDA/FDA).

Hands-on experience with QA software systems (Genesis, R&D, SQL) is a plus.
