Pricing Manager

About the Opportunity
Our Mississauga-based client is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead pricing strategy and analysis within a transportation and logistics environment. This role is responsible for developing competitive, data-driven pricing proposals and overseeing pricing processes that support both customer requirements and business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, hands-on pricing experience in 3PL/logistics, and the ability to collaborate across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead pricing strategy and execution for Parcel, LTL, and TL transportation services.
  • Analyze rate requests and develop competitive pricing proposals considering margin, density, lanes, and subsidies.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker on pricing methodology and rate structures.
  • Lead pricing initiatives of varying size and complexity with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support annual rate increase initiatives through cost-benefit analysis and pricing recommendations.
  • Maintain and manage pricing data within a proprietary Transportation Management System (TMS), including rate cards, zone maps, and data integrity.
  • Produce pricing and performance reports and deliver actionable insights.
  • Act as the main pricing contact for Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations teams.
  • Communicate time-sensitive pricing and rate changes clearly and accurately.
  • Ensure pricing documentation is complete, approved, securely maintained, and compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Contribute to pricing-related projects and other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in 3PL pricing, quotation, or cost analysis.
  • Experience across warehousing, trucking, customs clearance, and cross-border logistics (U.S. & Canada).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in pricing models, cost structures, and data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Tableau and/or Power BI is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of pricing methodologies and service management principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and analytics tools.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $80,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Compensation will be discussed further with selected candidates.
