Hotel – Director of Sales

Job Summary:
As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and managing the hotel's sales function to drive revenue growth and market share. In this senior leadership role, you will develop and execute strategic sales plans, oversee a team of sales professionals, and forge strong relationships with key accounts and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
– Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance management
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your industry expertise and network
– Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales initiatives
– Collaborate cross-functionally with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery
– Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth
Qualifications:
– Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
– 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in a hotel environment
– Proven track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding sales goals
– Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
– Proficient in sales forecasting, budgeting, and data analysis
– Familiarity with hotel property management systems and sales automation tools
Working Conditions:
This is a primarily office-based role with some travel requirements. The successful candidate will be expected to work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed to support sales initiatives and client meetings.
