Site Engineer – Piping Systems
Contract: 8–12 Months
Overview
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering, fabrication, and installation firm specializing in complete process piping systems. They support projects across highly regulated environments such as pharmaceutical and medical facilities, as well as large-scale industrial applications. Their work is defined by a strong commitment to safety, quality, coordination, and craftsmanship.
The Site Engineer will work under the supervision of the Construction Management team and play a key role in coordinating on-site installation activities. This position offers hands-on involvement in active construction environments and close collaboration with multiple trades, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Site Labour Coordination

Coordinate plumbers, pipefitters, and welders for the installation of stainless steel instruments and interconnecting piping systems

Support daily site activities to maintain schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements
Subcontractor Coordination

Coordinate subcontracted trades for inspections, cleaning, insulation, and related services

Assist with scheduling and sequencing to support efficient and organized site operations
BIM & Installation Coordination

Use 3D BIM models prepared by the design team to support on-site installation activities

Assist with clash detection, constructability reviews, and resolution of installation conflicts

Support the integration of design, fabrication, and installation workflows
Documentation & Reporting

Track material deliveries, installation progress, and site activities

Distribute, manage, and report on site documentation as required
Client & Trade Interaction

Attend regular site and coordination meetings with clients, construction managers, and mechanical, electrical, and process trades

Support clear and effective communication between all project stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
-
Site or field engineering / construction coordination experience preferred

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

Familiarity with AutoCAD-based software

Experience with 3D modeling software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred)

Examples of academic or professional design work are considered an asset
