Industrial Mechanic – Dual Ticketed (Millwright & Electrician)

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to join a well-established and growing packaging manufacturing facility in Brampton, Ontario. This is a hands-on maintenance role for a technically strong professional with solid electrical troubleshooting skills and proven experience maintaining and repairing industrial production equipment.
This role is ideal for an Electrician with a strong maintenance background or a Millwright with electrical capability who is comfortable troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining machines independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting daily production operations.
Shifts & Compensation

Hourly rate: $42–$50/hour (based on experience)

Day Shift:

Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Weekend Shift Available:

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

$1/hour weekend shift premium

Key Responsibilities
-
Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance

Diagnose breakdowns and repair machines independently

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair:
-
Bag making machines
-
Blown film extrusion machines
-
Blow moulding machines
-
-
Respond quickly and effectively to equipment failures and service calls
-
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime
-
Install, modify, and maintain electro-mechanical systems and components
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades
-
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health & safety standards

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support operations
Qualifications & Experience
-
Valid 442A Electrician License with solid maintenance experience and strong electrical troubleshooting skills, OR valid 443A Industrial Millwright License
-
Dual Ticketed Millwright & Electrician preferred
-
Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (must-have)

Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and fixing machines independently

Solid knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Self-driven, methodical, and safety-focused approach to work

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role

Willingness to respond to emergency calls when required
