We are seeking a dynamic Fabrication & Packaging Manager to lead high-volume manufacturing operations across fabrication, packing, and shipping. What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leadership & People Development
-
Lead a large team of 130–140 indirect reports and 8 direct reports (Supervisors + Team Leads)
-
Build a strong, engaged, collaborative culture rooted in accountability and respect

Coach supervisors and leads, driving development, succession planning, and performance management
-
Set clear expectations and communicate metrics, goals, and progress regularly

Hold team members accountable in a supportive, respectful, people-first manner
Operations & Performance
-
Oversee daily operations in fabrication, packing, and shipping to meet production targets
-
Ensure quality, efficiency, and safety across all departments
-
Establish systems, metrics, and processes that enable predictable, consistent performance
-
Monitor production flow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
-
Lead shop-floor daily management and maintain high levels of engagement with employees
-
Ensure packing and fabrication standards are followed accurately and consistently
-
Manage material flow, warehouse activities, and customer order requirements
-
Develop strong relationships with carriers to support timely shipments
Continuous Improvement, Quality, & Safety
-
Drive Lean initiatives, 5S, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements
-
Use data to identify root causes and implement process improvements
-
Lead corrective actions using tools such as fishbone, Pareto, 5 Whys, 8D
-
Support and mentor supervisors in incident investigations and preventative measures
-
Ensure compliance with all quality procedures, policies, and industry standards
-
Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment and promote a safety-first mindset
-
Conduct safety talks, audits, orientations, and ensure proper training is in place
Strategic & Administrative Responsibilities

Align department goals with company objectives

Analyze KPIs such as downtime, yield, efficiency, and throughput
-
Provide regular performance updates to the Plant Manager

Support equipment installation projects, process flow improvements, and capacity planning
-
Manage progressive discipline, hiring decisions, evaluations, and performance reviews
What You Bring
Education & Experience
-
Post-secondary degree, business diploma, or equivalent experience
-
5+ years leadership experience in manufacturing (fabrication, processing, warehouse, or related)
-
8+ years operational experience in maintenance, engineering, design, or quality within an industrial environment
-
Experience with KanBan, production systems, and workflow optimization is an asset
-
Knowledge of CTPAT, PAP, CWPCP, USMCA is an advantage
-
Familiarity with 24/7 manufacturing environments is beneficial
