Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Class D Driver to join a fast-paced, mission-driven team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing local pick-ups of used electronic equipment from client sites and safely transporting them to the warehouse. You’ll work in tandem with a warehouse support member to ensure items are loaded, transported, and unloaded with care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 3 to 5-ton truck safely and efficiently to carry out scheduled collection routes within the Ottawa region.
- Visit commercial and residential sites to pick up electronic materials such as computers, monitors, and related equipment.
- Collaborate with a warehouse team member to safely load and unload items from the vehicle.
- Follow lifting safety protocols when handling objects up to 50 lbs; heavier items will be lifted as a team.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to avoid damage during transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization inside the vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic, safety, and workplace regulations.
- Offer courteous and professional service at all pick-up locations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class D driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in delivery or professional driving roles is considered an asset.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs safely.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
- Must own steel-toe safety boots.
- Available for full-time, daytime hours within the city limits.
