Helper Service Technician – Toronto Area
Do you enjoy working with your hands and learning new skills on the job? We’re looking for a Helper Service Technician to join our growing team in the Toronto area.
You’ll work alongside experienced Lead Technicians, helping install, repair, and service commercial doors, dock levelers, and other loading dock equipment for our industrial and commercial customers.
What You’ll Do: Helper Service Technician
- Work with our Lead Technicians on installs and service calls for sectional doors, rolling doors, fire doors, vehicle restraints, impact doors, and loading dock equipment.
- Help troubleshoot and repair equipment issues on-site.
- Keep tools, truck stock, and inventory organized and ready for the next job.
- Log job details accurately — including time, job numbers, and materials used.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and other trades on site.
- Assist with regular maintenance and safety inspections.
- Jump in on work orders and service calls as they come in.
- Follow all company and site safety procedures — safety is our top priority.
- Take part in team meetings, training sessions, and hands-on learning opportunities.
- Support your Lead and Manager with other duties as needed.
What You Bring: Helper Service Technician
- Some knowledge of doors, dock systems, or basic mechanical/electrical work — or a strong willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and work comfortably at heights or outdoors in various weather.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and a good team player.
- Professional appearance and attitude when representing the company on-site.
