Our client is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to champion key customer relationships, drive growth, and help shape the future of our sales strategy. In this role, you'll become a trusted advisor to clients, an internal collaborator, and a key contributor to our long-term success.
What You’ll Do
As our Strategic Account Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a defined market area and play a critical role in:
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with customers, prospects, agents, and suppliers
  • Act as the voice of the customer—communicate key insights, opportunities, and challenges to internal stakeholders
Sales Strategy & Market Development
  • Create and execute annual sales plans and forecasts that align with our client’s broader marketing strategy
  • Identify new product opportunities and support market mix improvements to drive profitability
  • Prepare and negotiate pricing proposals tailored to customer profiles and current market conditions
Account & Order Management
  • Facilitate smooth order processing and on-time delivery by coordinating with production, quality, scheduling, purchasing, and shipping teams
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overproduction and minimize scrap
  • Support the Inside Sales team to ensure exceptional service delivery
Issue Resolution & Customer Support
  • Proactively manage and resolve commercial issues, including initial claims investigations
  • Reconcile tolled orders and manage scrap credit approvals
  • Ensure customer specifications and requirements are accurately communicated to internal teams

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent related industry experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in sales or account management within steel or paint industry is a strong asset
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of coil coating products and production capabilities (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make strategic decisions
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
What to Expect
Work Environment:
Split between office, plant, and customer locations. Must be comfortable adhering to plant safety protocols and be available for travel as needed.
Hours:
Standard office hours with flexibility for extended hours when required due to customer or business needs.
