What You'll Do: Maintenance Supervisor
As our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be the go-to person for:
Leading a Skilled Trades Team
- Supervise a team of electricians, mechanics, technicians, and janitorial staff
- Provide coaching, training, scheduling, and performance feedback
- Uphold safety and quality standards at every turn
Keeping Operations Smooth & Productive
- Direct and prioritize maintenance tasks to reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot and respond to urgent breakdowns
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations
Optimizing Maintenance Systems
- Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and performance metrics
- Analyze maintenance trends to recommend improvements
- Ensure critical spare parts are always available
Driving Improvement Projects
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Recommend upgrades or projects to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance safety
What You Bring: Maintenance Supervisor
Education & Experience
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certificate of Qualification in 443A (Millwright) or 442A/309A (Electrician) preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in maintenance, with 5+ years in a leadership/supervisory role
- Strong understanding of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical
- Knowledge of provincial health & safety regulations
Skills & Abilities: Maintenance Supervisor
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with CMMS, MS Excel, Word, and Visio
- Capable of reading blueprints, technical drawings, and reports
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, budgeting, and costing
- Familiar with PLCs and automation systems

Working Conditions
