Ready to take ownership of a fast-paced logistics role in a manufacturing setting? We're hiring a Logistics Specialist for a 20-month maternity leave contract. If you’re a proactive problem-solver with deep knowledge of U.S. exports, customs, and freight coordination—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate shipments, bookings, and trucking arrangements
- Track incoming/outgoing freight and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare shipping documents (BOLs, customs paperwork, invoices)
- Handle returns (customer & vendor) and provide freight quotes
- Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues
- Support customs broker processes, including tariff code declarations
What You Bring:
- 5 or more years of logistics experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong U.S. export knowledge — brokers, tariffs, codes (a must)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and shipping platforms
- Skilled in freight quoting, rate negotiation, and discrepancy resolution
- Detail-oriented with a clear understanding of customs requirements
Role Details:
- Schedule: Day shift with ½ day Friday’s
- Location: On-site, Concord
- Team: Collaborate closely with logistics, shipping, and purchasing (5–6 people)
- Reports to: Logistics Manager
