Are you a hands-on warehouse leader looking to step into a role that combines operations, leadership, and performance management? We’re hiring a Warehouse Team Lead for a reputable, national logistics provider managing a high-volume sporting goods account focused on premium ski and snowboarding equipment.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with strong growth potential, ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in third-party logistics (3PL).
About the Role
You’ll support the Operations Supervisor by coordinating the day-to-day activities of a dynamic warehouse team, ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time order fulfillment during both regular and peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of warehouse associates in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Ensure operational KPIs are met and report on productivity and quality.
- Resolve workflow or scheduling challenges in collaboration with internal departments.
- Monitor space utilization and apply warehouse best practices for efficiency.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Promote and maintain a safe workplace aligned with OH&S standards.
- Assist in urgent customer requests to ensure service level expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of hands-on warehouse experience with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or lead hand role.
- Prior experience in a 3PL setting is strongly preferred.
- Licensed and experienced in operating Reach Trucks and Order Pickers.
- Familiarity with WMS systems and RF scanning technology.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a busy warehouse setting.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety and TDG regulations.
Shift Schedule
- Training Period (First few months): Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Peak Season (August – December): Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM + occasional Saturdays
- Post-Peak (Starting January): Reverts to day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Additional Details
- This is a Temp-to-Perm position. Candidates on a work permit must have a minimum of 3 years validity remaining.
- A criminal background check will be required prior to starting.
- Full-time only.
- One position available.
