Fuze HR is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join one of our healthcare clients in Port Elgin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about patient care and specimen collection, looking to gain meaningful experience in a collaborative and well-established healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection with accuracy, efficiency, and patient care top of mind
- Label and process blood samples in accordance with strict protocols and timelines
- Maintain detailed, confidential records of patient data and collected specimens
- Provide clear instructions and ensure comfort for patients throughout the collection process
- Communicate effectively with clinic staff and healthcare professionals to support daily operations
Qualifications:
- Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) from an accredited Canadian institution
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and empathetic approach to patient interaction
- High attention to detail and accuracy in sample labeling and record keeping
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
- Must be able to provide a cleared Criminal Background Check
- Proof of Canadian Phlebotomy/MLA education is required
Additional Information:
- Onboarding will be required prior to the start date (1–2 days)
- Initial contract term is minimum 3 months, with the possibility of extension up to 6 months depending on operational needs
