Business Development Executive
We are seeking a results-driven business development specialist for a premier distributor of industrial fasteners, serving manufacturers and construction clients across Canada.
What you'll be doing
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying and pursuing potential clients within the GTA Mississauga to Niagara region, with future expansion into Quebec.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts across various industries including agriculture, furniture, construction, communications, and healthcare.
- Act as an outside sales representative, building strong relationships and understanding client needs to provide specialized stainless steel fastener solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to source products globally and ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions while managing your own hybrid work schedule.
- Negotiate and structure sales agreements, including commission and bonus discussions, to meet both client and company objectives.
What we need from you
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, to support current and future client interactions in the GTA and Quebec markets.
- Proven sales experience: 10 to 15 years in outside sales, preferably within the distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong business development skills: Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing existing accounts.
- Self-motivated hunter mentality: Comfortable working independently with a focus on generating new leads and closing deals.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) within the GTA, Mississauga, Niagara region, and eventually Quebec.
- Comfortable with a hybrid work environment, managing your own schedule with flexibility to visit the Mississauga office as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage a high volume of client interactions.
- Proficient with MS Office and able to use sales tools and CRM systems effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as mileage allowance and auto allowance are provided.
