Job Overview
  • Employee onboarding/offboarding and administering group benefits and RRSP programs.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner and review employee timecards for compliance.
  • Handle various payroll adjustments, respond to employee inquiries, and manage group benefits and RRSP programs.
  • Prepare Record of Employments (ROE) and annual T4s, and track employee vacation and sick days.
  • Ensure compliance with government remittances and manage apprenticeship processes.
  • Prepare job advertisements, screen resumes, and conduct interviews.
  • Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, maintain employee files, and support IT requirements.
  • Conduct exit interviews, assist with corporate events, and manage HR communications.
  • Update company policies and the Employee Handbook annually.

Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of HR & payroll experience, ideally within a non-union environment
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Payroll legislation & BC employment law
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Positive demeanor, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate Excel skills are strongly desired.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification is an asset.
