About the Role: Door Technician
We are looking for a skilled Door Technician with a strong mechanical aptitude and welding experience to help install, repair, and maintain doors, gates, and dock systems. Approximately 20% of the work may require out-of-town travel, including underground projects. All necessary training and certifications for site work will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial doors, gate systems, and dock equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
- Apply welding and mechanical skills for on-site repairs and custom modifications.
- Maintain organized inventory and company vehicle readiness.
- Keep accurate records, including time logs and work completion details.
- Provide professional service and support to customers, contractors, and team members.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications: Door Technician
- 3+ years of experience with mechanical systems, doors, gates, or related equipment.
- Welding experience (required) – professional certification is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with power tools and ability to handle physical workloads.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Adaptable to changing work environments and schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background check.
