Project Director Of Greenhouse Facility Expansions

As the Project Director of Greenhouse Facility Expansions, you’ll be the driving force behind greenhouse and facility expansions, spearheading major equipment installations and ensuring every project is executed with excellence.

Your role will be crucial in delivering high-quality, safe, and timely project outcomes, all while staying within budget.

Project Management Responsibilities:

• Architect of Expansion: Oversee and drive all phases of greenhouse and facility expansion projects, from initial scoping and site planning to permitting, quoting, and construction.

• Permit Maestro: Liaise with local officials to secure necessary permits and approvals, ensuring a smooth path to project execution.

• Master Scheduler: Develop and maintain comprehensive Gantt charts to track project milestones, adjusting timelines as needed to keep everything on track.

• Team Coordinator: Lead weekly meetings with contractors to ensure deadlines are met and project goals are achieved.

• Inspection Overseer: Schedule and coordinate job site inspections, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained promptly.

• Trade Manager: Direct and manage all trades and subcontractors, ensuring high standards and company compliance.

• Design Guardian: Ensure all construction aligns with the latest designs and company standards, collaborating with the President and Chief Growing Officer for design reviews.

• Safety Champion: Work with the HRBP or H&S Coordinator to develop and implement a robust job site health and safety plan, maintaining compliance with all safety policies and regulations.

• Budget Watchdog: Oversee project budgets, review and approve invoices, and meet regularly with the President/CFO to ensure financial targets are met.

• Innovation Advocate: Continuously seek and implement improvements in project management processes and strategies.

Project Management Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field preferred.

• Experience: Proven track record as a Project Manager in greenhouse or facility expansion projects is a plus.

• Problem-Solving Pro: Strong analytical skills with a knack for finding innovative solutions and making strategic decisions.

• Communication Expert: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. Spanish language skills are a plus.

• Leadership Qualities: Influential leader with a collaborative approach, capable of motivating and guiding teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational abilities, with a strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other project management tools.
