The Civil CAD Designer will be responsible for:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of site conditions before construction, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the project’s unique challenges and opportunities.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings that illustrate the phased site development, providing an essential visual roadmap for construction.
• Utilize geolocation technology to map and chart construction sites accurately.
• Perform material quantity take-offs for critical components such as excavation, backfill, gravel roads, and more, facilitating resource management and cost estimation.
• Develop construction sequences that outline the step-by-step procedures for field operations.
• Collaborate closely with field superintendents, construction managers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to meet constructability requirements.
• Skillfully design utilities, including underground waterlines, wastewater systems, and electrical infrastructure, to support the project’s functional needs and sustainability goals.

The required qualifications for the Civil CAD Designer are:

• 5 years drafting experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Extensive experience in 3D modeling for grading, ground surfacing, and road design.
• A sound understanding of engineering principles, fabrication, assembly, and construction processes.
• Experience with steel, concrete, and mechanical design.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data management and reporting.
• Educational Background in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or as a Civil Technician.
