We have Seasonal, Parttime/FT positions for the below role

1st & 2nd Line Cooks
Contract: June 2025
Location: GTA, Ontario
1st Cook
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
– Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
– Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
– Assist in menu planning and development, including seasonal and special offerings.
– Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
– Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
– Handle food storage, preparation, and waste management efficiently.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
– Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
– Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
– Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
– Creative and passionate about cooking.
2nd Cook
Job Duties
– Daily preparation of cook food ordered in restaurant and lounge in a timely manner.
– Works with other culinary team members to assist where needed.
– Sets up workstation, restocks food items throughout the shift and preps food items.
– Follows recipes, portion controls and presentation specs.
– Prep food for events, café and restaurants.
– Cleans and maintains proper food safe and sanitary standards.
– Works with front of house team to ensure pacing and any special guest requests are met (including allergies and food intolerances).
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
– Supervise and train kitchen helpers in preparation of food. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Completion of secondary school is required.
– A minimum of 1 year of commercial cooking experience is required.
– Ability to work standing 100% of the time with the ability to transport up to 50lbs on occasion.
