Job Title: Overnight Unit Manager
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Salary: $73,000 – $75,000 per year + bonus potential, plus excellent company benefits
Schedule: Overnight shift – 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM

We are currently seeking an experienced Overnight Unit Manager to join a high-performing team in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments and enjoys managing teams during overnight operations.
Based in the Dartmouth area, this position is responsible for overseeing night shift warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading a team of unionized employees. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining productivity and safety standards at a major distribution facility in Dartmouth.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage overnight warehouse operations.
Lead, support, and motivate a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
Ensure operational targets, productivity goals, and performance metrics are achieved.
Manage employee performance through coaching, feedback, and recognition.
Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and operational programs.
Complete required operational reports and documentation.
Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts professionally and effectively.
Coordinate workflow and operational activities to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Represent leadership professionally while maintaining strong team engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
Several years of management experience, preferably within warehouse, distribution, transportation, or manufacturing environments.
Experience managing unionized employees is required.
Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety standards.
Demonstrated success in performance management and operational leadership.
Ability to work independently and make effective decisions during overnight operations.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing large teams in overnight or high-volume environments is considered an asset.
