The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead operations at our Woodbridge, Ontario manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Vice President & General Manager of Canada, this is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead and manage all plant operations in alignment with the company’s mission, values, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee manufacturing performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI).
- Ensure production targets and operational objectives are achieved efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
- Collaborate with production and department leaders to drive operational excellence and achieve manufacturing goals.
- Develop and manage the plant operating budget, ensuring strong financial performance and cost control.
- Monitor plant metrics including SQDCI, TPS, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
- Champion LEAN manufacturing practices to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Partner with CI teams to identify and implement operational improvements across the facility.
- Drive initiatives that enhance workflow, reduce waste, and strengthen operational processes.
Safety & Compliance
- Foster a culture where safety is the top priority across all plant operations.
- Ensure full compliance with provincial health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Lead the implementation of preventative maintenance and safety programs.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship to managers and plant leadership teams.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Hire, develop, and evaluate staff while fostering a high-performance work environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, R&D, and corporate teams to implement new materials, technologies, and product lines.
- Support capital investment planning and facility improvement initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership to align plant performance with broader corporate goals.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in door and window manufacturing or lumber industry strongly preferred
- Experience with door pre-hanging operations considered an asset
Leadership & Technical Expertise
- Proven experience driving LEAN manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, financial management, and quality systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver operational improvements in a complex manufacturing environment
Key Skills
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable operational plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant manufacturing software
