Position Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator (counterbalance) / Sorter
Location: Woodstock, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 AM – 10:00 AM + 4:00AM – 12:00 PM
We are seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator / Sorter to join a busy logistics team. This role is primarily focused on operating forklifts to unload trucks and move pallets efficiently within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift license and experience in fast-paced warehouse environments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate electric forklifts to unload 3–4 trailers per day (approximately 250–300 pallets daily)
- Sort and move pallets to designated areas in the warehouse
- Perform light warehouse duties without heavy lifting
- Follow all safety procedures, including use of steel-toe boots and proper handling of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Complete required health and safety documentation
- Handle pallets/skids
- Operate scanners regularly for tracking and inventory
- Perform forklift work approximately 50% of the time
- Load and unload pallets
- Place pallets on racking
- Handle up to 250–300 pallets per shift
- Operate a counterbalance short mass electric forklift
- Perform scanning, sorting, and placing items in correct locations for the remaining 50% of the shift
- Temp-to-perm role: candidates should be interested in long-term employment and be reliable and serious
- Operate a sitting forklift as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance)
- Prior experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferred
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
- English language skills required
- Heavy lifting required 50-70 lbs
