Shipper/Receiver – Inventory Clerk Position:
Based in Burlington ON, join a market leader in the aerospace industry, In the position of Shipper/Receiver – Inventory Clerk your primary role is to process incoming and outgoing shipments per operational procedures and maintain inventory control of raw material, sub-components and finished goods.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Schedules couriers for shipments and prepares waybills, customs documents, commercial invoices, Certificates of Conformance and other shipping documents as required
-Inspects and verifies incoming goods against packing slip or other related documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods
-Processes inventory receipts into ERP system
-Allocates material from inventory to shop jobs to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability
-Makes necessary verifications against documents, unpacks and routes goods to appropriate storage areas
-May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
-Maintains internal record-keeping systems
-Communicates with various people within the facility and externally in order to facilitate shipments and receipts of goods.
-Assembles containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying labels and shipping instructions
-Ensures safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials
-Performs proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods
-Performs inventory counts, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock in assigned BIN locations, ensures area is secure at all times
-Maintains standard operating procedures for ISO/AS9100 and traceability requirements for incoming/outgoing shipments
-Maintains standard operating procedure for health and safety requirements, including verification that SDSs are received and current, materials are within their expiry date, and handled and stored properly
-Additional duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
-High school graduate or equivalent
-1+ year experience in a similar role
-Computer skills using Excel, Word, MS Office; including the ability to create and manipulate data in spreadsheets
-ERP Inventory Control
-Fork lift driver certification
-Valid driver’s license
Competencies:
-Excellent organizational and time management skills; including strong attention to detail
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to correspond and liaise with all levels of the organization
-Excellent customer service skills; including responding promptly to customer needs, and responds to requests for service/assistance
-Is accountable and works with integrity
-Flexibility in schedule to work over time if required.
-Must be able to lift/push/pull/move parts up to 50lbs
-Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment while meeting all scheduling/production requirements
-Demonstrated strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with quality and productivity; ensuring no aspect of the work is neglected
-Works to overcome obstacles in completing tasks and assignments, including an ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events
-Strong commitment to ownership of quality of work produced daily, accepting full responsibility (positive or negative) of the outcomes; and when appropriate admits mistakes and refocuses efforts
