What are the Responsibilities?
  • Daily Dispatch & Coordination
    • Schedule and dispatch technicians for mobilizations, service, troubleshooting, and repairs
    • Coordinate parts, tools, and supplies with the Parts Department
    • Coordinate sub‑trades (ie. trucking, engineers, contractors, inspectors)
    • Arrange travel for out‑of‑town technicians (hotels, flights, rentals)
    • Keep schedules full to maximize technician efficiency and billable time
    • Ensure technicians have all required site information and documentation
    • Monitor weather conditions and adjust schedules accordingly
    • Manage holiday and training schedules to support seasonal workloads
  • Diagnosing & Troubleshooting
    • Take incoming client calls and assess equipment issues
    • Work with technicians to determine repair timelines and solutions
    • Match the right technicians, tools, and parts to each job
  • Administration & Documentation
    • Create service tickets, purchase orders, and maintenance plans
    • Approve technician timecards and service invoices
    • Produce Technical Safety BC (TSBC) inspection and compliance documents
    • Support technician training and certification tracking
  • Fleet & Equipment Management (PM Program)
    • Help manage Preventative Maintenance programs for fleet and client equipment
    • Review work orders and plan upcoming service and repairs
    • Assign and track pre‑ and post‑trip inspections
    • Monitor annual certifications, helping to ensure company and industry compliance
    • Coordinate rebuild programs and capital equipment projects
    • Liaise with manufacturers on warranties, bulletins, and product updates
  • Quotes & Sales
    • Identify opportunities to promote products and services
    • Prepare and follow up on parts and service quotes
    • Generate repair recommendations, completion reports, and estimates
    • Resolve invoice questions or disputes with clients
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Prepare required government documentation and submissions
    • Participate in weekly and monthly service meetings
    • Assign and track inspections (daily, weekly, monthly)
    • Ensure all dispatches meet safety, training, and regulatory requirements
    • Support HSE initiatives, injury management, and incident investigations
What are the Requirements?
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent judgment
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems (Journeyman status is a big plus, but not required for consideration)
  • Must be a clear, confident communicator (verbal & written)
  • A proactive problem‑solver who can think on their feet
  • 2+ years of experience dispatching personnel and equipment, or similar responsibilities in a relevant industry
  • Sales mindset with the ability to recognize and act on opportunities
  • Experience creating, tracking, and following up on customer quotes
  • Familiarity with Preventative Maintenance programs
  • Comfort using MS Office, CRMs, dispatch systems, and fleet management software
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with coworkers and clients
  • Experience reviewing technical documents, drawings, and bulletins
  • Professional written communication and polished email etiquette
