Sanitation Operative

Sanitation operative based in Ancaster; we require an experienced sanitation worker for our plant located in Ancaster.

Shifts

·Days Mon-Fri shifts scheduled between 6am-2pm

·$19.38 per hour

Main Duties:

·Ensure safe work conditions and practices as outlined in the company Safety, Health and Environmental policies.

·Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP).

·Work closely with the sanitation team members and team leader to ensure completeness of tasks/responsibilities for the

·sanitation department

·Responsible for the accurate tracking and record keeping required for the sanitation department, while following all SOP’s and

·master sanitation schedule.

·Using appropriate cleaning methods, clean in accordance to the GMP’s & GPP’s

·Disassemble and reassemble all equipment as necessary in order to perform required cleaning & sanitation which would include following all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures

·Ensure washrooms and lunchrooms are kept clean and sanitized.

·Assist in the development and regular maintenance and validation of applicable SOP’s.

·Safely transport and store of all cleaning chemicals and tools, while working in a conscientious manner and independently with

·minimum supervision.

·Understanding of WHIMS and adhering to all Health & Safety Regulations and protocols

·Communicate all areas of concern and issues to Operations Manager

·Required to support other duties as necessary to support production.

Qualifications:

·1-2 years’ experience in working within a Greenhouse environment and Sanitation manufacturing environment would be an asset

·Experience working with Regulations by Health Canada and protocols also considered an asset.

·Experience adhering to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

·Good understanding of applicable Health & Safety practices and legislation

·Proactive mindset and ability to self-motivate and multitask when needed as necessary
