Refrigeration Mechanic 313A – Etobicoke, ON
Full-Time | Day Shift | $44–$45/hr + $1/hr license premium

We are hiring a licensed Refrigeration Mechanic (313A) to join a large food processing facility in Etobicoke. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial Freon-based refrigeration systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Shift & Schedule:
Days: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Some weekends and overtime required

What You’ll Do:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems according to codes
Adjust hot gas and TX valves and maintain programmable controls
Perform preventive maintenance to sustain equipment performance
Work on roof-top HVAC units, boilers, and other plant systems
Communicate issues and solutions with associates and supervisors
Coordinate contractors and ensure all required documentation is completed
Follow HACCP, GMP, JSA, and SOPs to maintain safety and compliance

Requirements:
Valid 313A Refrigeration License
Ontario Freon Handling License (ODP)
G-2 Gas Technician Fitter License an asset
5+ years’ experience with industrial Freon-based refrigeration systems
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to make decisions under pressure and work in cold environments

$44/hr during probation (first 3 months), then $45/hr
