We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Representative to drive business growth in Eastern Ontario.
Must have experience selling industrial doors and related products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand market share and build strong customer relationships within the assigned territory.
- Focus on boosting profitability across all product lines.
- Lead the direct sales of products and services to end-users.
- Identify potential customers through directories, trade shows, advertisements, websites, and previous interactions.
- Provide exceptional communication by being responsive to customer inquiries and ensuring their expectations are met.
- Travel throughout the territory to engage with both current and prospective customers, including cold-calling.
- Conduct product demonstrations using samples or catalogs, emphasizing key features and benefits.
- Oversee the full sales process, from quote preparation to closing deals and drafting contracts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, while maintaining overall responsibility for sales activities.
- Generate regular reports including forecasts, call logs, and expenses.
- Maintain accurate customer records and data.
- Build strong relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Travel as necessary to secure orders and achieve sales targets.
- Meet or exceed the annual sales goals set by the company.
- Operate within the assigned budget for travel and other expenses.
- Promote the company’s values, vision, and objectives.
- Participate in training and team activities to support continuous improvement.
- Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with effective sales techniques and a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling industrial goods or related products.
- A College Degree (4-year program) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related software.
- A deep understanding of the target market within the assigned territory.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution abilities and a knack for fostering positive relationships across teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Flexible and open to working additional hours as needed.
