Millwright – Injection Molding (Day Shift | North York)
📍 Location: North York, ON (Flint Road area)
💲 Compensation: $38–$40 per hour + overtime
🕒 Schedule: Day shift, must be open to overtime
Join a well-established, industry-leading plastic injection molding company known for producing high-quality components for major sectors including automotive and consumer goods. This facility operates advanced equipment including Nissei, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, and Engel machines (both older and newer models) and prioritizes precision, safety, and continuous improvement.
We’re looking for a Millwright with strong Injection Molding experience to take on a stand-alone role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who thrives on problem-solving, proactive maintenance, and working with state-of-the-art systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and shop equipment.
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic tools and systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in production machinery.
- Conduct emergency repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during service periods.
- Support spare parts inventory and initiate purchase orders for maintenance supplies.
- Maintain accurate logs and CMMS data.
- Program and install electrical motors, sensors, VFDs, and simple control systems.
- Ensure safety compliance and optimal machine performance.
Requirements:
- Valid Millwright 433A and/or 442A Electrician Certification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting focused on injection molding (e.g., ABS plastic, automotive, consumer goods).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience working with molding machines such as Nissei, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Engel.
- Comfortable working in a heat- and noise-intensive environment; PPE required.
- Able to operate motorized equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift).
- Basic project management, computer literacy, and effective communication skills.
