Your tasks as the Millwright

• Perform Hazard Assessments

• Hoisting and Rigging

• Provide maintenance support to a continuous process manufacturing plant

• Perform a range of maintenance functions from simple repairs to complex equipment rebuilds

• Complete Preventive and Predictive Maintenance techniques

• Demonstrate knowledge of rotating equipment and align

• Take initiative to identify, maintain, and repair equipment issues

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills on equipment

The required qualifications of the Millwright

• Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright/ Welder OR Journeyman Millwright/Welder

• Second year Welder/Millwright apprenticeship as a 2nd ticket will be considered

• Minimum of three to 5 years experience as a Maintenance Millwright in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment preferred

• Strong working knowledge on safe work practices (such as lock-tag-try, fall protection, and hazard assessments)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision independently or as part of a team

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
