Material Handler – Counterbalance / Walkie Rider
Fuze HR is seeking an experienced Material Handler – Counterbalance / Walkie Rider to join a dynamic warehouse and logistics team. This role is essential to the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, and inventory using a Counterbalance forklift.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using Counterbalance and Walkie forklifts.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a neat, clean, and organized manner; perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
  • Unload inbound shipments and store products in designated locations, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, verifying accuracy of type and quantity.
  • Move products efficiently from staging/storage areas to railcars, trailers, or containers.
  • Verify that inbound and outbound shipments are correct and undamaged; report quality variances immediately.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs using proper technique.
  • Maintain accurate records and support tight inventory control and warehouse security. Assist with physical inventories and stock rotation.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, including offloading, packing, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, and repacking.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customer service representatives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift experience with valid certification in Counterbalance and Walkie Electric forklifts.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills; legible recordkeeping required.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, quick learning ability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to manage stress under tight schedules and shift priorities efficiently.
  • Emphasis on safety compliance and teamwork.
