E-Commerce & CRM Manager

Salary: up to 110K depending on experience
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a hands-on, resourceful E-Commerce & CRM Manager to build and scale a robust customer engagement program from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoys both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
You’ll be responsible for leading campaign strategy, CRM segmentation, email calendar planning, and database growth initiatives. You'll also manage an Email Marketing Specialist and work closely with retail, marketing, and eCommerce teams to deliver high-impact, data-driven communications.
This role is approximately 60% strategic building and management and 40% execution of email campaigns. If you’re ready to own the function, get scrappy, and build something that drives real results—this is your moment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution
• Develop and implement a comprehensive CRM and email marketing strategy from the ground up.
• Own the full email calendar, coordinating across departments to align messaging with product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
• Lead the creation, testing, and optimization of email content, automation workflows, and triggered campaigns.
• Build scalable campaign processes that improve efficiency and performance.
Team Leadership
• Manage and mentor a dedicated Email Marketing Specialist.
• Drive project planning and execution while managing priorities and working within budget constraints.
Database Growth & Segmentation
• Execute strategies to grow and improve the first-party data and email list through cross-channel efforts and strategic partnerships.
• Implement segmentation strategies that drive personalization and improve engagement, retention, and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with brick-and-mortar teams to enhance omnichannel data capture and customer profiling.
Performance & Optimization
• Analyze and report on campaign KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and overall engagement.
• Run A/B tests on subject lines, creative, and timing to continuously optimize performance.
• Leverage customer data to refine messaging and campaign targeting.
Compliance & Best Practices
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
• Stay current on digital marketing and CRM trends, tools, and industry best practices.
What You Bring
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in email marketing and CRM, ideally in a retail or eCommerce setting.
• Strong knowledge of platforms such as Listrak, Bloomreach, or Klaviyo.
• Experience building programs and processes from scratch.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and take action.
• Project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Quick to pick up new tools and systems; CMS or CRM experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
• Bilingual is an asset.
