Fuze HR is now hiring a Maintenance Technician in Surrey, BC! This is a temporary contract opportunity to start, with potential to convert to permanent employment if you demonstrate strong technical abilities and prove to be a great cultural fit for the team. What are the Perks?
  • Weekly pay! $23-25/hr
  • 36 hours of work per week, paid weekly for a full 40 hours!
  • Monday – Thursday off!

What are the Responsibilities?
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair a broad range of machinery and systems, including packaging & process equipment, mechanical & electrical systems, and facilities
  • Support optimization of maintenance and operating efficiencies through minimizing operating costs and implementing KPIs/measurements
  • Support effective preventative & predictive maintenance planning and coordination
  • Ensure compliance with H & S, environmental, industry, and company regulatory requirements (including food safety – GMP, HACCP, etc.)
  • Play a key role in maximizing equipment uptime to support production efficiency.
  • Maintains accurate maintenance records and effectively utilize CMMS to record jobs/work order completion.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance experience
  • Must be team-oriented and collaborative, but also able to work alone/under minimal supervision when required.
  • Smart, self-starters with strong decision-making skills are encouraged to apply!
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, safety and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction required.
  • Comfortable being hands-on performing equipment and facility maintenance tasks.
Nice to Have:
  • Hands-on knowledge of packing machines and appropriate maintenance techniques
  • Working knowledge of PLCs and computerized machinery.
  • Experience handling raw materials
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Computer skills – familiarity with Microsoft programs
