Machine Operator – Night Shift
📍 Location: Brantford, ON
⏰ Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

We’re looking for a hands-on and reliable Machine Operator to join our client’s growing food manufacturing facility in Brantford. This role involves operating semi-automated machinery, conducting manual quality checks, and ensuring smooth production flow across multiple lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor semi-automated food processing and packaging machinery
  • Perform manual checks and measurements using calipers and salt-and-water testing machines to ensure product quality
  • Set up machines using the touchscreen control panel; perform the rest of the operations manually
  • Conduct hourly QA checks, temperature checks, and record results accurately
  • Handle raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components per set specifications
  • Perform basic adjustments and maintenance; clear minor jams or blockages
  • Support plant start-up, shutdown, changeovers, and troubleshooting activities
  • Clean and sanitize machines, tools, and work areas following company hygiene standards
  • Safely transport raw materials and finished goods as required
  • Provide relief coverage for other operators and production workers during breaks
  • Report equipment or process issues to the Line Leader or Supervisor
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Machine Operator (preferably in a food manufacturing or packaging environment)
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform manual inspections and quality checks
  • Experience using manual calipers and salt machines (an asset)
  • Ability to understand and operate semi-automated machinery with both manual and control panel components
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to moving machinery, heat, humidity, dust, and cleaning chemicals
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and climbing ladders or platforms for extended periods
