We are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to be based out of our Burnaby location! This is a full-time permanent position. You will be full-time onsite for a few months and may transition into a hybrid office role (3 days in office, 2 days WFH).
Compensation
- $90k to $110k base salary
- 4% RRSP match

Responsibilities
- Develop the logistics workflow for moving materials from remote demolition and cleanup sites, ensuring reduced costs and fewer delays.
- Design and deploy a database for the Logistics Management System.
- Produce additional procedures and compliance documents to support a high‑standard logistics operation.
- Carry out yearly performance evaluations for all team members and provides consistent, ongoing feedback.
- Offer guidance and support to staff involved in rail car coordination, trucking operations, and barge transportation.
- Oversee essential weekly communication with operations leadership and clearly communicate updates to the logistics support team.
- Lead or participate in regional planning discussions with metal processing operations managers.
- Collaborate with Information Services leadership to introduce new technologies that enhance logistics functions.
- Deliver expert insights and analysis for a variety of projects and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in each mode of transportation management; road, rail and ocean freight.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, or transportation.
- Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles.
- Ability to pass background check
- Understanding of Transport limitations (weight and/or dimensions.)
- Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
