LABORATORY ANALYST | DAY | $23 -$28 / hour | 6-Month Contract | MONTREAL-WEST
We are looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join our Quality Control team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine testing and analytical procedures under the supervision of the Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor. This position plays a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Your tasks as a Laboratory Analyst will include:
Quality Control Testing
- Perform quality control testing of new, returned, and stock item products.
- Follow testing specifications outlined in the appropriate Pharmacopoeia or Test Methods.
- Maintain all records, including laboratory notebooks, in compliance with GMP requirements.
- Operate analytical instruments such as FT-IR, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, GC-FID, HPLC, Conductivity meters, and pH meters.
- Conduct sample preparation, dilutions, analyses, and batch quality control.
- Accurately transcribe test results onto test sheets in a timely manner.
- Prepare standards and reagents, interpret results, and ensure equipment maintenance and calibration.
GMP Responsibilities
- Ensure critical equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Verify that all materials are appropriately tested and results are reported accurately.
- Maintain quality control equipment suitable for testing activities performed.
- Follow company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Report any discrepancies to the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Assist with inventory management and ERP record updates.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions related to GMP and GLP.
- Contribute to special projects as required.
MUST-HAVES to obtain this role:
- Diploma or certificate in a science-related program (minimum CEGEP level) such as Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Familiarity with GMP guidelines and laboratory best practices.
- Methodical approach with good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Industry knowledge (preferred).
