Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Abbotsford, BC

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting
  • Support accounts receivable (AR) functions: invoicing, collections, and maintaining accurate customer records in Sage 300
  • Provide backup support for accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing and intercompany invoicing
  • Assist with fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting controls
  • Respond to operational requests by collaborating with branch administrators and sales representatives
  • Prepare on-demand reports and supporting documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 2–4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including 1–2 years in AR
  • Post-secondary education in accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software preferred
  • Knowledge of internal controls and the ability to ensure compliance
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or service industry accounting is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, manage volume, and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid schedule: primarily remote after initial training, once-a-week in-office on Wednesdays
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Flexibility to work weekends or holidays if needed
