Career Opportunity: Industrial Engineer
This role is a 50/50 split between plant maintenance and continuous improvement, focused on optimizing operational performance, equipment reliability, and driving Lean initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Reliability (50%)
  • Lead plant-wide maintenance programs (preventative & predictive)
  • Troubleshoot mechanical & electrical equipment issues (hands-on or leadership)
  • Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Analyze performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR)
  • Drive up time, reliability, and asset lifecycle improvements
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and vendor coordination
  • Build KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for leadership
  • Lead cost reduction and energy efficiency initiatives
2. Continuous Improvement & Projects (50%)
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing / CI initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, TPM)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and process optimization
  • Manage capital and engineering projects end-to-end
  • Improve plant layout, automation, and workflows
  • Develop SOPs and standard work
  • Train and mentor teams on CI tools and methodology
  • Drive measurable productivity and cost improvements
  • Act as a change agent across operations
Must-Haves (Core Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 8+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering
  • 5+ years in maintenance/reliability-focused role
Strong experience with:
  • Industrial machinery & automation
  • Mechanical & electrical troubleshooting
  • Maintenance systems (CMMS)
Proven track record leading:
  • Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Strong data analysis capability (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.)
  • Hands-on, operationally focused mindset
  • Experience with project management + capital projects
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice-to-Haves
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
  • PMP certification
  • CMRP certification
  • Experience with ERP systems
