We are seeking licensed Truck and Transport or Heavy Equipment Mechanics with exposure to a range of heavy trucks and machinery, comfortable working in both shop & field environments (concrete depots, sand & gravel pits, etc). What are the Responsibilities of the Heavy-Duty Mechanic?

• Troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs and maintenance on a large fleet of trucks and equipment in both shop & field
• Perform field diagnosis via traditional and electronic tools,
• Utilize electronic diagnostic tools daily (CAT, MBE, EATON), keep up to date with new technology
• Interact with dispatch, production, and technical sales teams on a regular basis
• Ensure timely and accurate technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes, site failure reports)
• Support on-site safety requirements, report violations if any are witnessed
• Help build & maintain customer relations throughout the community

What are the Requirements for the Heavy Duty Mechanic?

• Red Seal – Truck and Transport or Heavy Equipment Mechanic (truck ideal)
• 1+ years of relevant experience, must be confident performing maintenance and repairs in both shop & field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be safety conscious, willing and able to adhere to safety policies and respond safely in case of emergency
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be comfortable wearing a full-face respirator when required (fitted & provided by the company)

Nice to have:

• CVIP Certification
• Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License (premiums available)
• Engine or component rebuild experience
• Transmission or hydraulic testing experience
• Pressure Fuel Qualification (LPG, CNG, CNLP, LPNG)
