What are the Responsibilities?
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on mobile equipment and manufacturing machinery
- Support and help develop the preventative maintenance program
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and part plans
- Install, move, and modify equipment as operational needs evolve
- Ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards
- Continuously upgrade your technical skills
- Maintain accurate records in the CMMS system
What are the Requirements?
- Red Seal Forklift Technician or equivalent certification
- 5+ years of post‑certification experience ideal, will consider candidates with less presenting strong & relevant technical skill sets
- Experience with Toyota forklifts (asset)/electrical forklifts
- Strong knowledge of forklift mechanics, basic welding (ARC/TIG/MIG), and electric forklift systems
- Ability to perform minor repairs on tractor units and shipping equipment
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Manufacturing experience (asset) – you may be called upon to support maintenance of industrial equipment on occasion
- Familiarity with Lean principles and 5S standards (asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms
